The nightly pass · 02:00, in your time zone

A company that keeps working after you close the laptop.

Describe the business once. Every night at 02:00, in the time zone you choose, the pass proposes the tasks it would run next, runs the ones you have approved, and leaves a plain record of what ran and what it produced. Nothing runs without your approval.

Free to start. No card. Plans from $19 a month.

How a night runs

One pass a night, at 02:00.

Nightshift Co keeps the pass on a schedule: a job that starts at 02:00 in the time zone your company keeps. It reads the board and the inbox, proposes what it would do next, and runs the tasks you have already approved. You can watch it work, and the record is there in the morning.

  1. Say what the business is, once.

A couple of sentences about what you sell and who buys it open the company: a site, an inbox and a board.

  2. At 02:00, the pass proposes the next work.

Every proposed task says what it would do and why it comes next, so you are deciding on the work itself, not on a promise.

  3. You approve or skip each task.

Nothing runs without your approval. Approved work is queued for the next pass; a skipped task stays off the board.

  4. The next pass runs it and writes the record.

What ran, what it produced and what came back, as lines on the board you can read in a minute.

While a pass is running, the board shows you where it is. If a pass stops early, the record says so in plain words and the next night’s pass picks the work up again.

The company you start with

A site, an inbox and a board — open before the first pass.

You are not assembling a stack of tools. The company opens with the three places the work happens, and every task the pass proposes lands on the same board.

A public site

One page that says what you sell and who it is for, live at its Nightshift Co address from the day the company opens.

A company inbox

Enquiries from the site arrive in one inbox, with who wrote and what they asked, ready to become a task on the board.

A task board

Every proposed task with what it would do, your approve-or-skip call on it, and the record of what ran.

Tonight

Name the company now. The first pass proposes at 02:00.

Built for one person with a day job. The decisions stay yours, the night shift does not: you wake up to a board of tasks, each one waiting for your call, and the record of what the night did with the approvals you gave it.
